Child and Family Services

Northeast Engineers & Consultants has provided all site and civil engineering design services for a new 38,000 sq.ft. headquarter to include classrooms, daycare, counseling offices and administrative offices.

The facility was designed with sustainable design principles in mind, and with the goal of reducing overall energy consumption 25-30%. The project has been registered with National Grid for an aggressive rebate program known as “Advanced Building Systems.”  To determine the impact of design decisions on energy consumption, a sophisticated energy consumption model was developed for the building. Under the “Advanced Building Systems” program, National Grid will rebate 90% of the additional construction costs invested in building systems which meet the energy-savings goals of the program.
