Northeast Engineers & Consultants provided site, civil and structural engineering design services for a new 19,500 sq.ft. headquarter. The building is registered with the LEED program with the goal of attaining certification at the “silver” level.

Sustainable design elements includes:

  • A 15,000-gallon cistern designed to capture stormwater runoff to reduce water use. After being disinfected, the water is recycled and used for cleaning. Captured water does not drain into the sewer system or the surrounding wetlands.
  • A vegetative roof with plants tolerant to wind, heat and drought, that limits stormwater runoff, reduces greenhouse gases, and keeps the building cooler.
