Congratulations Dan Szymanski, 2013 PBN 40 Under Forty Winner

Congratulations to Dan Szymanski, NE&C’s president, and all the winners of Providence Business News’ “40 Under Forty” award. The 40 Under Forty winners were selected based on career success and community involvement. All are young professionals who have committed to making a difference on a local, national or international scale.  Mark Murphy, PBN editor, observed that “talent, determination, and ambition” characterized this years winners and Dan is no exception.

Dan has been with NE&C since 2003, shortly after graduating from URI’s civil engineering program.  He was promoted to Vice President in 2009, President in 2012, and recently became an owner of the company.  In the community, he serves as a Board Member and Chairman of the Architectural and Engineering Committee of the Fort Adams Trust.  

Dan’s contributions continuously evolve based on the needs of the company and our clients. In 2005, he managed the residential development group and created a project management strategy that catered specifically to the needs of homeowners. Later, in 2008, Dan relocated to Dubai for five months and managed several civil engineering projects there. In 2010, as the global and local economy continued to struggle, he worked to secure Federal and State projects allowing NE&C to remain competitive and continue supporting our clients.  Dan’s latest efforts are focused on reaching out to new clients through supporting and growing his networks, leading concerted business development efforts, and – most importantly – working diligently to ensure continued high quality services and client satisfaction.
