Northeast Engineers acquires Rhode Island Wind and Solar Power

Northeast Engineers is proud to announce that it has completed the acquisition of Rhode Island Wind and Solar Power. Rhode Island Wind and Solar Power is a strategic addition to Northeast Engineers’s business. The acquisition extends Northeast Engineers’s capabilities to full service, turn key renewable energy solutions for its clients.

In addition to its 20+ years of experience conducting site evaluations and wind studies for coastal and waterfront structures, Northeast Engineers completed over $120 million of power generation, transmission and distribution projects in the Middle East for the US Army Corps of Engineers.

Founded in 2007 by Scott Milnes and Tim Hetland, RI Wind and Solar Power has become a RI leader in small and mid-size wind and solar power projects.

For all renewable energy projects, the company will operate as Sustainable Global Energy, and will provide turn-key services for installation of wind and solar power, from feasibility studies, permitting and engineering to procirement, installation and commissioning. The first project for the new company will be the installation of a 100kW wind turbine to power the Easton Pond Business Center in the Aquidneck Corporate Park in Middletown RI. Northeast Engineers will also install RIDEM’s new wind turbine at Salty Brine Beach in Narragansett RI.
